About Tokyo

As you may well know, Tokyo is one of the most unique cities in the world.

It is blessed with traditional Japanese flavor and modern western cultures.

This uniqueness derives from its history. Under its isolation policy during the Edo Period (from mid 17th Century to mid 19th Century), Japanese traditional culture has flourished greatly. After the opening up to the international society in the late-19th Century, Tokyo, as the capital city of Japan, was the place where the modern western culture was flowed into.

Despite the collapse of the town due to the tragedy of the series of world wars, Tokyo recovered from the deserters by the 2 world wars and developed into one of the most modernized cities in the world.

Today, Tokyo attracts many foreigners from all over the world, inviting more than 700-800 thousands of visitors every month. Visitors are impressed by its unique combination of tradition and modernity, as well as its delicate cuisine.

It is just a one or two hours flight from major cities in Far East Asia, and visiting neighboring cities in China, Korea and other countries in East Asia is another enchantment for visitors from other regions in the world.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Tokyo, and find your own Tokyo.
